Now that the weather is hot here, I have noticed that the HVAC system in my 2020 M550 doesn't work very good at all. I have pressed 'menu' on the HVAC control panel and set it to the coldest setting on the slide-graph. When I start the car with the system set to 68 and on 'auto', (and the ambient temp in the 80's+) the car blows fairly warm air

There should be a refrigerant pressure sensor reading in the IHKA module in ISTA. It should read something like 12 bar if the system is working, but it might be more like 3 or 4 bar if it's not telling the compressor to compress it. Anything from 3 to 14 or so could be normalif it's like 99 then there's a problem.
At first there was no hot air, then it gradually increased as it got darker out. I have no idea what is causing it, might be software related. Let me know what you find out, I am pursuing on this end as well. I do not relish the idea of long trips with my feet roasting. Also the heat causes the central vents to compensate and blow more cold air
2001. 525i. The AC is not blowing cool air.I have added refrigerant with stop leak, in case I had a minor leak. The two vents over the radio seem to blow a lot of air, but the left one seems to be a little cooler than the right one. Hopefully, that is systematic in identifying the issue. Any help would be appreciated.
A blockage in the heater. A broken thermostat. A faulty or damaged blower motor. Faulty heater core bypass valve or hoses. Low coolant levels. Driving your car when the engine is overheating could cause irreparable damage to one of the most expensive parts of your car. For a quick fix, check your coolant levels and add some liquid.
very weird climate control problem. Starting the other day, on auto, the dash vents were blowing cold air, and max ac blew cold air, but noticed the car seemed a bit warmer. The rear vents (even when adjusted to cold) blew hot air like a heater. Then, I noticed, the floor vents and side defrost vents blew heated air!
Black 328xi Discussion starter · Jul 30, 2011. My car decided to stop blowing cold air. My guess is it may be out of refrigerant. I see in the warranty refrigerant is not covered. How much does BMW hit you over the head for a recharge? Should I just take it in anyway to confirm that is the problem.
Location: Philadelphia. iTrader: ( 0) Ac not blowing cold air. Well not sure what happened bimmercode shows that there are errors when trying to access the module for coding its not a huge worry but would like to have it working for some days when I don't want the windows down. Its a 2015 435i no codes or anything the car just wont get cold at
